Shoot-n-Iron

At Shoot-N-Iron Practical Shooting Academy, our basic handgun course is designed to teach individuals and families who either now own handguns or are planning to purchase a handgun in the near future.  

Instruction Includes: Safe handling of the weapon, loading and unloading, cleaning, maintenance and storage and familiarization with many different types of weapons. 

Range Instruction: Designed to teach safe gun handling, proper grip and stance, sight alignment and trigger control. Range exercises teach single shots on single targets , multiple shots on single targets and multiple shots on multiple targets. 

You will learn: How to defend yourself in your home, shooting exercises will be done from a distance of 9 to 21 feet, which is the approx. distance across your living room. Students will also be taught what objects in your home can be used for the use of cover to protect yourself and your family from an intruder and what objects not to hide behind. Students will be taught to engage targets and fire your weapon from cover, while affording yourself the best protection possible.

 Shoot-N-Iron Instructors also offer to come to your home and inspect safety protocols for you and your family to make sure you is safe during these trying and changing times.
