At Shoot-N-Iron Practical Shooting Academy, our basic handgun course is designed to teach individuals and families who either now own handguns or are planning to purchase a handgun in the near future.

The Intermediate Handgun Course is set up as to where courses are scheduled for one to five days in length. The Intermediate Handgun Course is designed for individuals with previous firearms training to learn the safe use of handguns and to experience marksmanship training.

The Advanced Handgun Course features three to five days of the most extensive, complete, and challenging training offered anywhere. Due to the handgun craftsmanship required, Advanced Level Course participants are required to have prior firearms training.

Basic through Advanced Courses, include defensive shooting with all three weapons, close-quarter combat, using iron sights, red dot sights, and scopes.

This course is designed to instruct all family members in gun safety. Children in the home will be instructed to treat every firearm as if it was loaded and parents will be instructed and taught proper firearm storage.

Students will learn single and multiple building entry, and building clearing drills. Students will be instructed to engage and neutralize the shooting threat. Room clearing scenarios will also be taught in one, two three, and four-man configurations involving rifle, shotgun, and handgun situations.

This course is designed to keep Law Enforcement and Security personnel up to date on their yearly Firearms Qualification required training through the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training.

Shoot-N-Iron Instructors will teach security procedures and entry coverage for different church layouts, personnel screening and weapon retention and concealment. This course is designed to keep weapon concealment paramount in the church setting.
